| How to book a CN Future Links Mobile Clinic and other information | - Identify possible dates with consideration of other activities - school trips, other sports, etc.
- Estimate the number of kids, number of groups, number of school classes to be involved in the clinic
- Groups of approximately 10 is recommended and separate groups for boys and girls
- E-mail interest in a clinic along with details including what dates are best, where the clinic might be held, at a local golf course, practice range, school yard or gymnasium, number of kids involved to Phil Grosse, Manager of Sport Development & Marketing at email
- Spread the word of the upcoming clinic to all students, other classes, other schools, other golf courses as well as other towns in your area. The more golfers involved in your area, the better it is for everyone.
- Coordinate and confirm arrangements with Phil Grosse. If an adult is present to help with supervision during the clinic, that is welcome.
- Collect $ 10 from each golfer involved
Other information regarding your clinic: - Cost - $10 per session per junior golfer. The cost of this program is subsidised by the SGA, RCGA and Sask Sport
- Ages - 8-17
- Grades - 3-12
- Equipment - All golf balls, clubs, tees are provided
- It is helpful to have one adult present to help the instructor with supervision
- Clinics are scheduled for 2 hours to give time to get help with and practice the full swing, chipping, pitching and putting as well as rules, etiquette, games and fun
- This program is available to all Saskatchewan schools, cities, towns, golf course, community associations, regions, parks, etc.
- If there is inclement weather, we will try to make other arrangements
- After the junior clinic, if there is time and interest, any other golfers in the community may have the opportunity to schedule group clinics or individual lessons from the CPGA Professional conducting the Mobile Clinic

| Future Links Junior Programs Offered at SGA Member Clubs | The following SGA Member Clubs offer Future Links branded junior golf programs at their courses. Each of the golf courses hold Future Links junior clinics instructed by qualified CPGA of Saskatchewan Golf Professionals. Additional SGA Member Clubs offering Future Links junior clinics will be added as they are confirmed. - Elmwood GCC and Elmwood Junior Golf Program - Clinics instructed by Head Professional, Jeff Chambers & his CPGA Professionals. Clinics are available for junior golfers aged 5-16. Each session includes 3 instructional sessions ranging in start dates from May 1st to 6th and wrapping up on May 15th to 20th. - Moonlake GCC - Clinics instructed by Brad Birnie Golf Academy CPGA Professionals. Saturday sessions (1:00 - 2:00 PM & 2:00 - 3:00 PM) starting on May 2nd and Monday sessions (5:30 - 6:30 PM) starting on May 11th. The sessions are for junior golfers aged 8-13 and the cost is $15 per session. Call 382-5500 for more information or to register.
- Murray Municipal GC - Clinics instructed by Ken McDowell, CPGA Professional. Clinics are available for junior golfers in two age groups; 7 & under and 8-12. Each golfer will participate in 4 one hour sessions starting on June 8th at the Lakeview Par 3 Golf Course. The cost is $40 per participant. All kids will receive a golf club to take home. | History of Future Links | One of the very popular and successful ways golf has been brought to young people who may not otherwise have an opportunity to learn about the game is the CN Future Links Mobile Clinics presented by SaskTel.
The objective of the mobile clinic is to: - Bring more kids into the game
- Introduce youngsters to the game of golf
- Develop future generations of golfers
The Saskatchewan Golf Association, in cooperation with the Canadian National Railway, the Royal Canadian Golf Association, CPGA of Saskatchewan, ClubLink, Ford, SaskTel and other sponsors have delivered the mobile clinic program in Saskatchewan since 1996. The program is available to schools from early May until the end of the school year and again in late summer until the end of September. During the summer months the program can be booked through golf clubs. The Level One program designed to develop a good basic golf swing. The clinics are a maximum of two hours in length with one hour each for long and short game. All equipment is supplied and additional resource material may be available to students. Class sizes are usually limited to 12 students for safety reasons and each location can have up to four classes (48 students). The course can be taught in a schoolyard, but the use of a local grass or sand green golf course is preferable. There is a $10 fee per student for these classes.
